Sailorette for 18" Dolls - PDF Sewing Pattern
The Sailorette design is a dolled up version of the classic Sailor Suit. This pattern includes options for a short sleeved bodice, sleeveless bodice, and two skirt lengths to achieve the look you want. The short skirt falls just above the knees while the longer skirt is mid-calf length. The bodice is lined and fastens in the back with hook and loop. Trim out the dress using ribbon, middy braid, or soutache. This PDF pattern is designed to fit 18 inch soft bodied dolls such as American Girl®.

-1/2 Yard Fabric 45” (Dress, Lining, Hat)
-1/4 Yard Fabric 45” (Optional Contrast Collar, Hat, Sleeve Bands)
-2 Yards Middy Braid, 1⁄4” Ribbon, or Soutache
-11⁄8 Yard Gathered Lace (Optional Trim)
-1/2 Yard 5⁄8” Double Face Satin Ribbon
-5” Hook and Loop (1⁄2” wide or less)
