Tiny Easter Baskets for your new Easter Dress

It's almost time for Easter and after finishing the new MyAngieGirl Lovely V-Waist Dress Pattern  for 18" Dolls, we needed tiny Easter Baskets to go with the new dress. The Lovely V-Waist Dress is a classic Spring or Summer style dress. I made one in pastel blue and white cotton batiste with delicate embroidery on the front bodice and all around the hem. A little pair of white gloves would also be a nice touch. To make tiny Easter baskets to go with the new dresses, I started with several little baskets collected from thrift store and estate sales, in the past few months. It's fun shopping at second-hand sales. You never know what you might find.I pulled out ribbons, trim and various tiny decorations to put in the baskets. My work table went from clean to a complete mess in just a few short minutes! I found little christmas ornaments, stickers, and a stuffed rabbit that were just the right size.  Add a bag of Cadbury mini eggs and some green paper grass and this basket was good to go.When my college girls saw the new blue and white dress and little Easter baskets, they loved them! They said it brought back joyful memories of when they were little. They loved the Easter dresses I made them and the surprises they would find in their Easter baskets. It doesn't seem like that long ago. Children grow up so fast. Are you sewing something special for your little ones this year?God bless you and Happy Easter!Angela"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."
